How to get to Southport Cineplex
Access by Car
Parking is available in the Australia Fair and Australia Fair Metro car parks, with up to 3 hours free parking for most visitors and options to extend to 5 hours free when a movie ticket. The easiest access is via the ramp from Young Street into the Australia Fair Metro car park, which brings you closest to the cinema level.
Car Parking
Southport cinemas has partnered up with SECURE PARKING to offer cinema patrons a great parking deal. SECURE PARKING is located just a short walk from the cinemas opposite the convention centre. Entrances are available on both Cordelia and Merivale St. Your parking ticket must be validated at our ticket box as you leave the cinema complex to receive the discount. Parking is also available directly beneath the cinema. This parking is free up to a maximum time of four hours when you see a film in its entirety. If you exceed this time limit, a charge starting at $35 will apply.
- Weekdays if you park before 4pm you will receive $5 parking for 4 hrs
- Weeknights if you park after 4pm, Weekends & public holidays you will receive parking for a flat rate of $3
Public Transport
Cineplex Southport also has excellent public transport access. Almost all northern Gold Coast bus routes feed directly into Southport bus station, located beside Australia Fair. From there, it is an easy, level walk of about two minutes through the centre to reach the cinema. In practice, you simply take any bus that stops at Southport bus station (routes such as 704, 713, 715, 719, 735 and others run frequently), alight at stops A or B, and follow the signs into Australia Fair. Once inside, clear internal signage leads you up to Cineplex Southport.
Cineplex Southport is also very well connected by tram and train. If you are already on the G:link tram, simply ride to either Southport (Nerang Street) or Southport South (Scarborough Street) station; both are only a short walk from Australia Fair, where the cinema is located. From Brisbane or any Gold Coast train line, take the train to Helensvale station, transfer directly to the G:link tram towards Broadbeach South, and alight at Southport station. From there, it is just a few minutes’ walk along Scarborough Street into Australia Fair and up to Cineplex Southport.
